INDERA SC TOP GROUP C WITH WIN OVER IKLS

By Ahmed Shaheeb Indera SC topped Group C with a hard fought 1-0 win over IKLS in round seven of the DST National Football League played at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. In the first half, after a nervy start, there were no real chances as both teams battled for possession in the middle of the park. IKLS needing a win to guarantee a place in next season's first division packed their midfield to nullify Indera SC's attack. Rosdin Abd Aziz, Indera SC team manager said, "My players were feeling the pressure to take first place in the group as MS ABDB had won their last match and we wanted to win our last match. "However, IKLS have been steadily progressing and also needed a win to overtake Rimba Star in the league standings." After the restart, the game came to life and a breakthrough did come in the 75th minute when Mohammad Azwan raced past the IKLS defenders and released a right-footed shot, which beat Awg Rahimin bin Hj Mohd Taha in

The 1-0 win over IKLS at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas yesterday sees Indera FC end their season on a high, providing them with the momentum they need leading up to the Brunei FA Cup in June. The match looked to be headed towards a goalless draw, with the first half concluding wihtout any clear cut chances for either teams. A decision by Indera FC manager Rosdin Hj Abdul Aziz to bring in substitute Mohd Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah in the second half would pay dividends. The winger would set a brilliant pass for Md Azwan who only needed a simple tap in to score the game-winning goal. "It was a very tight game, we needed a win and sin

As if their 16-1 thrashing of Perda FC on April 21 wasn't enough to send shockwaves rippling over the DST National Football League, they demolished Sangsura FC 15-0 on Tuesday night the tsunami of goals sending them to the top of Group C. Their fourth win in five games, Indera have now netted 45 times and let in only four the other three goals coming in their lone loss of the season, a 3-1 defeat to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council on March 25. With only two more games left to play, Indera who enjoy the best goal difference in the 32-team competition have virtually guaranteed their spot in the Brunei Super League (BSL) as one of the two best sid

Haffizul Aizad Kekali terus gagal apabila Md. Karimurizal Kasmi menjaringkan gol pada minit ke-18. Their second goal-fest in as many games, Indera who thundered past Perda 16-1 on April 21 for what was then the biggest win in this year's edition of the tournament now have the best goal difference in the 32-team competition. Their fourth win in five games, Indera have found the back of the net an astonishing 45 times and have let in only four.
