Indera SC president Pg Anak Hj Mohd Yassin Pg Anak Safiuddin had hoped that his public talks of Azwan as a "talented young player" and "Indera's best player", might help persuade the 21-year-old to stay with the club and ignore the overtures of DPMM FC. But, in an interview with The Brunei Times last night, Azwan said that he is ready to leave Indera for DPMM FC. "I am joining DPMM FC. We had sorted things with the DPMM FC management.

MS ABDB went into the game leading their opponents by three points, and a draw would have sufficed to secure the title, but it was clear that the then league leaders wanted to end the season on a high. It was the soldiers that were doing most of the attacking in the first half, controlling possession and keeping Indera SC pinned into their own half, with seemingly nowhere to go. Pvt (U) Mohd Isa bin Hj Bahar sent a glancing header just over the bar, before Pvt (U) Mohd Mazazizi bin Mazlan’s shot under pressure was tipped around the post by Ak Omar Nur Aqammadin Pg Hj Sallehuddin. INDERA KEEP TITLE HOPES ALIVE

Image
by AK FAUZI PG SALLEH A FITTING 'edge of the seat' finish is in store for the inaugural season of the DST Super League. The league will only be able to crown its first champion on the very last day of the season as Indera Sports Club moved within three points of leaders Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) following their 3-1 victory over Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB) last night. The top two clubs in the competition will clash on Sunday at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium and a win for Indera will p ut them level on points against MS ABDB. Their superior goal difference will however see them go home with the DST Super League title. "We will fight for the entire 90 minutes. We will fight for a win. Both (Indera and MS ABDB) are the best attacking teams in the country. I am expecting a tough game and I think MS ABDB will go out to win the game too," said Indera SC manager Rosdin Hj Abdul Aziz in an interview with Th

INDERA IN MUST-WIN GAME

A file photo taken on December 23, 2012 shows Indera Sports Club players celebrating their goal  against Wijaya FC during the DST Super League  at  Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas. Picture: BT file INDERA Sports Club will be lacing up for a must-win game against the Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) in tonight's DST Super League action. The season draws to a close on Sunday with leaders Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) taking on Indera, and though the gap between the two sides is six points, Indera have a game in hand tonight's tie against the policemen. Anything less than a win at the Balapan Track & Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, and the title is in the bag for the soldiers. Indera also risk finishing second to Majra if they fail to beat either the policemen or soldiers, so their manager is fully aware of the significance of tonight's match. &q
