INDERA SC STILL UNBEATEN

Image
BY FADHIL YUNUS

Ten-man Indera SC remained unbeaten in the DST Super League following a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory over Najip FC at the Balapan Track and Field last night.

Their league guide does not lie and never seemed to be relinquishing their unbeaten status after an assured performance worthy of their title credentials against a side that was once early forerunners in the championship race. The first chance fell to the hosts with Mohd Rakin bin Ramli striking wide perhaps fazed by the chaotic nature of the penalty box. Mohd Azri bin Zahari created all sorts of havoc from a set- piece floated long and ended up needing treatment due to a minor collision with the goalkeeper.
Following lapse of concentration at the back from the league leaders, Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri bin Ampuan Hj Idris capitalised on the uncharacteristic error and fortuitously finding Abang Nor Sillmy bin Abang Hj Taha.

The talismanic midfielder darted forward and connected a well struck effort that wa…

INDERA EXTEND LEAD TO FIVE POINTS

Image
BY LEE CHUN LEONG

TEN-MEN Indera Sports Club put a dominant performance for a 2-0 victory over Najip FC in the DST Super League last night.

Indera now move five points clear at the top of the 10-team table with 23 points from nine games followed by Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) and Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB), who are both tied on 18 points.

League leaders Indera were left to play with a man down for an hour after a careless tackle by goalkeeper Mohd Fakhrul Zulhamzi Yussof on Mohd Azri Zahari after a counter attack at the Belapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

It didn't bother their confidence, though, as they continued to see plenty of the ball.

Indera head coach Hj Omar Hj Jamil was proud of his charges, especially after they kept their composure when being a man down.

"Im very happy with the way the boys played and it was a very good win" said Hj Omar in an interview with The…

INDERA SC FIRST SIDE TO REACH 20 POINT

BY FADHIL YUNUS
League leaders Indera SC became the first side to reach 20- point barrier this season in the DST Super League following a goalless draw against Majra United at the Balapan Track and Field last night.
It was a fine effort from Majra to hold out an opposition in excellent form who now instead moved five points clear of MS PDB and MS ABDB.
MS ABDB bounced back from last week’s defeat to move in second place of the DST Super League after beating title rivals Najip FC 2-1 at the Berakas Sports Complex.
Najip FC’s talismanic player Abang Norsilmy Abang Hj Taha was not available for selection due to his participation for Survey “B” at the Ministry of Development Futsal Championships.
The army men boast a superior goal difference than MS PDB as Najip failed to capitalise on their two-match advantage.
Mohd Khairuddin Abd Kadir and Mohd Baharin Hamidon upped the tempo for MS ABDB and Noor Raimi Karim @ Syahremy’s reply was not enough.

Meanwhile, LLRC FT could only manage a 1-1 draw ag…

MAJRA HOLD INDERA TO DRAW

Image
BY WAQIUDDIN RAJAK
Majra United held defending champions Indera SC to a 0-0 draw during their DST Super League match last night, handing the titleholders their second draw of the season.
The Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) beat Najip FC 2-1 in last night’s other game.
The army men’s fifth win of the campaign has pushed them from fourth to second – and just five points adrift of Indera.
Indera started the game strongly and spent most of the 90 minutes inside their opponent’s half, though Majra’s well-organised defence made it difficult for Indera to find the net at the Balapan Track & Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
Majra had some of the best scoring chances, with most of them led by captain Faizal Mohammad.
However, Faizal’s attempts to score did not bear any fruit as Indera goalkeeper Mohd Fakrul Zulhamzi Yussof was quick with his saves.
Indera’s coach was unhappy with his team’s performance which he blamed on “carelessness”.
“We had …

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 13 April – Indera SC mengekalkan laluannya untuk menjulang kejuaraan Liga Super DST-NFABD apabila menyisihkan pesaingnya, Majlis Sukan (MS) ABDB malam tadi dengan kemenangan 2-0.

Dalam saingan di Padang & Balapan, Kompleks Sukan Negara Hassanal Bolkiah (KSNHB), Indera SC menghasilkan gol pembukaan dalam keadaan kucar kacir di petak penalti MS ABDB apabila bola rembatan Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman berjaya ditepis Soldadu Md Suhandi Haji Awang Mahali di gawang MS ABDB tetapi bola melantun kuat ke kaki Md Asri Haji Aspar menggegarkan gawang MS ABDB pada minit ke-58 tatkala Soldadu Md Suhandi hanya mampu melihat bola melintas deras di atasnya.

INDERA SC BEAT ABDB 2-0

BY FADHIL YUNUS
INDERA SC did their quest for a title defence no harm after showing foundations of steel in a true test of character by beating the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) 2-0 at the Balapan Track and Field last night.
The two teams are brimming with confidence in the league and it was no surprise that the match began on a quick tempo with MS ABDB finishing strongly as the first half drew to a close.
Indera SC overcame the attacking threat by converting a neat finish through Mohd Asri bin Hj Aspar after goalkeeper Muhd Suhandi bin Hj Awang Mahali got a hand to Hamizan Aziz bin Sulaiman’s shot.
Muhd Zulkhairy bin Razali added a second to provide a tall order for the army men.
Mohd Fakrul Zulhamzi bin Yussof was in full stretch to deny MS ABDB a route back into the match and were unbeatable as the match wore on.

Indera SC remained in a fine position entering mid-April as their rivals battled for points. Wijaya FC caused a major upset after defeating MS PDB 2-1 at th…

INDERA STAY PERFECT

Image
BY FAIQ AIRUDIN
INDERA SC tightened their grip on the lead of the DST Super League yesterday, defeating Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) 2-0 at the Berakas Sports Complex.
Indera remain the only undefeated side in the 10-team table, currently sitting on 19 points but head coach Hj Omar Hj Jamil is still not satisfied with his team.
“Winning tonight was 50-50. We were lucky and didn’t miss our chances in front of goal,” he said, reminding his players to stay humble and focused.
Tactically, he instructed his team to play short passes since he expected MS ABDB to play long balls into the box.
Going into the final rounds of the games, he said that the team still need to improve as more chances fell to the other team as the game went on.
In terms of outstanding performers on the field, the coach singled out goalkeeper Mohd Fakrul Yussof.
The game kicked off at a blistering pace with MS ABDB hoping to climb to second should they secure a win.
Early chances fell to Indera as Mohd K…

HEAVYWEIGHTS BRACE FOR BATTLE TONIGHT

Image
BY ABDUL AZIM KASSIM

THE DST Super League’s leading goal scorers, Indera Sports Club’s Mohd Zulkhairy Razali and Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council’s (MS ABDB) SLD Mohd Muhaimin Rosmalee, will go head-to-head at 8.15pm at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas tonight.
A previous meeting between the two teams saw last season’s DST FA Cup winners MS ABDB triumph 2-1 against the defending champions and current table toppers at the league’s curtain raiser, the Sumbangsih Cup in January.
Both teams are familiar with each other and it is of no surprise that the league’s leading scorers expressed tremendous respect for their respective opponents.
Mohd Zulkhairy who boasts six goals under his name believes that MS ABDB are still Indera SC’s toughest opponents despite having fallen four points behind the leaders.
“Yes, there are other teams above MS ABDB but MS ABDB are the strongest and most confident team in the league for me,” said Mohd Zulk…

MS ABDB UJI KEMAMPUAN INDERA

INDERA SC COACH: DISCIPLINE IS WHAT'S SETTING US APART

Image
BY ABDUL AZIM KASSIM
Indera Sports Club coach Hj Omar Hj Jamil said his team’s climb to the DST Super League’s summit on Saturday boiled down to their strong discipline.
The only unbeaten side in the tournament, defending champions Indera moved to the top of the 10-team table for the first time after a 5-0 win over Wijaya FC.
And with a game against last season’s runners-up Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sport Council (MS ABDB) on Saturday, Indera couldn’t have picked a better time to be in form.
“I’m proud of the discipline exuded by this team and I believe it’s that quality that has driven them to perform quite well in our last six matches,” Hj Omar said.
“Whatever formation or strategies I’ve gone for, the players have had no problem following them.
“The DST Super League is a massive task for me because if we win it, we also defend our title.
“This is what I always remind the players and staff of Indera, and perhaps that prospect has strengthened the players’ discipline,” he told The Brunei Ti…

INDERA SC shot to the top of the DST Super League with a 5-0 thumping of Wijaya FC last night at the Berakas Sports Complex.
The defending champions are the only unbeaten left in the competition and have 16 points from six matches.

Reduan Hj Petara doubled their lead in the 28th minute for the defending champions to carry a 2-0 advantage into halftime.
Abd Khair Hj Basri got his name on the scoresheet in the 68th minute before Muhd Nur Ikhwan Othman added to the scoreline in the 77th minute.

DEFENDING CHAMPS SHOOT DOWN POLICEMEN / INDERA GUN DOWN MS PDB

Image
by YEE CHUN LEONG
DEFENDING champions Indera SC remain the only unbeaten team in the DST Super League after defeating leaders Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) 2-0 last night.
MS PDB were enjoying the bulk of possession and moving forward in the early going at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
Indera were also careless in giving away free kicks in dangerous positions but were fortunate not to pay the price.
They broke the deadlock in the 13th minute with Abdul Mu’is Sisa firing a low shot past MS PDB keeper APO6533 Pg Mohd Muizzudin Pg Ismail.
The policemen keeper watched the ball agonisingly roll past the line despite getting a hand to it.
The momentum switched in favour of Indera after that as the policemen were giving the ball away cheaply at midfield.
Mohd Zulkhairy Razali of Indera had a chance in the 24th minute but saw his efforts saved by APO6533 Pg Mohd Muizzudin.
The MS PDB keeper was once again called into action…
