THE Brunei DST Super League match between Indera SC and Kasuka FC has to be called off after angry scenes unfolded following an off-the-ball incident just two minutes shy off half-time at the Berakas Sports Complex yesterday.

The episode began as soon as a Kasuka player has just cleared a ball when both sets of players raced to each other seemingly in discontentment with Kasuka’s Afindi Yati Tuah lying to the ground before the referee approached a match official for a view on the incident.

Both set of players waited for the judgment as the referee flashed the red card to Indera’s Hardi Bujang prompting a tirade of verbal exchanges between both clubs and the match officials.

Hardi returned to the pitch clearly annoyed by the actions of his former QAF team-mate and had to be separated from each other as Afindi continued lying in the ground.

Tempers frayed as the incident triggered a major unrest among the Indera SC supporters which subsequently came to a fiery end as both sid…

THE Brunei DST Super League match between former two-time champions Indera Sports Club (SC) and newly-promoted Kasuka FC was abandoned due to a heated argument between the two teams yesterday.

The incident occurred just two minutes before the half-time whistle blew when Kasuka’s Afindi Yati Tuah laid on the pitch at the Berakas Sports Complex after being challenged by Indera’s Sahrin Momin.

The referee then approached the two players and sent off a different Indera player, Hardi Bujang – the decision sparked heated exchanges between the players and match officials.

Sahrin, who was left dissatisfied with the referee’s decision tried to make his way to the referee in rage.

However, he was then pulled away and restrained by Afindi’s fellow teammate, Pg Shahruddin Pg Hj Md Tejuddin.

Frustrations between the two teams loomed and the incident then provoked a disruption amongst Indera’s supporters who called for proper decision from the match officials.

The decision to call off the…

FORMER two-time DST Super League champions Indera SC (Sports Club) sent a message to this season’s DST Super League title contenders after crushing hapless Jerudong FC 7-0 last night in their season opening match last night.

Indera broke the deadlock early in just a minute into the game after Muis Sisa’s shot deflected from Jerudong’s goalkeeper Mohd Shopian Mat Said – who failed to contain the shot at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

Jerudong FC refused to falter despite trailing 1-0, as their play-maker Sufri Mohaimin attempted to score before being denied by Indera’s goalkeeper, Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin.

Indera doubled their advantage after Muis scored his bracer of the night sliding past Jerudong’s defenders in the 14th minute.

Four minutes later, Indera’s Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman toyed with Jerudong’s abysmal defence as they made it 3-0 after his shot went through.

Jerudong stood no chance to Indera’s r…

ROYAL Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) won the DST Sumbangsih Cup for the second time after edging Indera Sports Club (SC) 2-1 in the traditional curtain raiser last night.

The club’s best player last season, striker Azizi Ali Rahman and defender Hj Mohd Yussof Hj Mat Yassin both found the net for the defending DST Super League champions at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

“It wasn’t an easy game…we worked hard until the end to win…and I am very happy for the club to win this Cup for the second time,” said MS ABDB manager Major (A) Razanol Hardi Abd Razak in an interview with The Brunei Times after the match.

MS ABDB lifted the first Sumbangsih Cup title in 2014 defeating same opponent Indera with a 2-1 score line.

“I am very proud of my players, they managed to control their temper throughout the match and keep their calm…we know a match against Indera is always going to be intense, but I think my players handled it pretty w…

ROYAL Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) manager Major (A) Razanol Hardi Abd Razak is expecting a tough DST Sumbangsih Cup match against Indera Sports Club (SC) tonight.

The army men clinched their very first DST Super League last October, and they also went on to win their third DST FA Cup after beating Indera 3-2 in December.

However, Indera won last year’s DST Sumbangsih Cup by defeating MS ABDB 2-0, so the army men know what to expect when the rivals face off in the DST Super League opener at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkian National Sports Complex in Berakas.

“We always expect a hard challenge from Indera,” said Major (A) Razanol Hardi during a press conference held at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) House along Jalan Pusat Persidangan in Berakas yesterday.

“To say that we will win tomorrow… I can’t say that, but I can say that we will try hard to win.

“Our training method has always been the same... It worked f…
