U-23 AND U-19 CRASH OUT

IT IS back to drawing board for the national Under-23 and the Under-19 teams at the Six Corners Football Championship after both failed to progress to the final stage of the tournament.
Nine-men Indera Sports Club (SC) came from two goals behind to beat the Under-23 side 3-2 at the Balapan Track Field at the HassanalBolkiahNational Sports Complex, while the Under-19 team fell to a 5-1 defeat to Liang Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT) at the BerakasSports Complex.
Present at the Berakas Sports Complex to watch the game was His Royal Highness Prince HjSufriBolkiah the president of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD).
The Under-23 side are currently preparing for the upcoming 27th edition of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Myanmar in December and were edged 1-0 by the Indonesian national Under-23 team in a friendly atYogyakarta two weeks ago.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Isnin, 26 Ogos. - Pasukan Indera Sport Club (SC) berjaya menyingkap tirai Kejohanan Bolasepak Jemputan 6 Penjuru 2013 selepas menang tipis ke atas pasukan MS ABDB dalam perlawanan pertama Kumpulan ‘A’ yang diadakan di Balapan dan Padang Kompleks Sukan Negara Hassanal Bolkiah Berakas, di sini.

Jaringan kemenangan pasukan Indera SC diperolehi pada minit ke-68 menerusi tandukan Reduan Haji Petara yang memanfaatkan ketinggiannya selepas menyambut baik hantaran tinggi dari sudut kiri oleh Md. Nazirul Nazreen.


Awalnya, pada separuh masa pertama kedua-dua pasukan gagal memperolehi sebarang jaringan walaupun beberapa percubaan berjaya dilakukan.


Pasukan tentera yang cuba melancarkan serangan dari berbagai sudut awalnya hampir mendahului kedudukan apabila percubaan Sld. Affendy pada minit ke-67 sedikit tersasar selepas menerima hantaran Sld. Budiman.

INDERA BEAT RIVALS MS ABDB

INDERA Sports Club (SC) defeated Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) 1-0 in the opener of the Six Corners Football Championship last night, with the DST Super League champions starting strongly in the first-half but failing to find a way past the army's soliddefence.

Inderacentre-backReduanHjPetara's goal in 78th minute separated both teams at the Balapan Track and Field of the HassanalBolkiahNational Sports Complex in Berakas, where MS ABDB relied on their wingers on both flanks to supply the ball into the penalty area a threat that the Indera defenders, led by centre-backReduan, did well to put out.
