IMPRESSIVE WINS BT INDERA SC AND ABDB

BRUNEI champions Indera SC and Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB), made mincemeats of their Singapore opponents in the second edition of the Red Bull Futsal Tri-Nations Cup and in the process boosted their chances of qualifying for the final at Stadium Negeri in Kuala Terengganu yesterday. Indera SC, backed by several players who were called up for national centralised training last month, thrashed Mountbatten FC ‘B’ 15-3 while MS ABDB followed up by trouncing Mountbatten FC ‘A’ 14-2. It will be an experience Mountbatten FC will never forget as both teams conceded a total of 50 goals in three matches!. The margin of victory certainly boosted the morale and confidence level of Indera SC and MS ABDB for a place in the final. All that both the Brunei teams need to do now is score victories over the two Malaysian contenders – MAC FC and Gelombang FC. FC and Terengganu’s Gelombang FC cruised to easy wins in the Red Bull Futsal Tri-Nations Cup 2013 at Stadium Negeri in Kuala Terengganu today. An eight-goal blitz by Mohammad Azwann Ismail saw M.A.C. scored 21 goals past Singapore’s Mountbatten FC ‘B’. The other scorers were Zulkhairi Ahmad (3), Shukri Mat Pilus (3), and Nurnaim Abu Nangin (2), while Ahmad Faizal, Mohd Azrisham Mat Soom, Muhammad Fitri Yatim and Akmal Yazadh Amri grabbed one a piece. Gelombang FC brushed off Mountbatten FC ‘A’ 19-1 in a late night match. The fate of both Malaysian clubs will be known tomorrow. M.A.C. will take on Brunei’s Indera SC Futsal while Gelombang goes into showdown with Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council. BRUNEI TEAMS FOR TRI-NATION CUP

Team members of Indera SC and MS ABDB with officials from NFABD and Kingston Beverages & Creamery . by AZIZ IDRIS TWO Brunei teams – Indera SC and MS ABDB – who earned the right to represent the country in the Red Bull Futsal Tri-Nation Cup 2013 departed for Kuala Terengganu yesterday. The tournament will be contested by two clubs from Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore respectively. Aminuddin Nasuha, the Indera SC team manager, said his team will try to bring back the trophy to Brunei last won by QAF FC ‘B’ when asked how he rate his team’s chances of winning the trophy. Team members of Indera SC and MS ABDB with officials from NFABD and Kingston Beverages & Creamery MS ABDB, through its team manager, Cpt (U) Awangku Muhammad Mufid bin Pengiran Umar Ariffin will try to do their best in the tournament.
