IT IS business as usual for Indera FC during this holy month of Ramadhan as they are continue training as usual.

With the Brunei FA Cup tournament undergoing a two-month break for Ramadhan and the following Hari Raya festivities, football training across the country seems to have come to an abrupt halt but this is not the case for Indera FC.

"We will still be training as usual during Ramadhan. There will be no break. We will still train three times a week, but we will do it at night after the Tarawikh prayer," said Indera FC Manager Rosdin Hj Abd Aziz, adding that some of the players are also undergoing training for the AFF Suzuki Cup Qualifiers.

The country's most important competition in years, the Oct 5-13 qualifiers will see five teams Brunei, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Timor Leste compete for two spots in the Nov 24-Dec 22 tournament proper which will be co-hosted by Malaysia and Thailand.

"Some of our players just got back from SUKMA (Malaysian Games) and most of the players are back in the squad except for those training for the national team that will be competing in the AFF Suzuki Cup," said the manager.

"We are not sure who will we be facing in the second round of the Brunei FA Cup. We do not want to worry too much about the opponents so we will focus on the team while maintaining the player's fitness throughout the month," he added.

Rimba Star FC manager Pg Hj Samsul Ph Hj Ahmad, meanwhile, is confident that his team will still be in top form despite taking a breather.

"We will not be training during the month of Ramadhan. The players will be having their break and the training will only resume after Hari Raya," he said.
