QAF FC CRUISE 3-1 WIN OVER INDERA FC

Bandar Seri Begawan - QAF FC cruised to a 3-1 victory against Indera FC in the DST Group Brunei Premier League I held at the Berakas Sporttomplex last night.

In another match, AM Gunners FC thrashed Brunei Shell FT 4-0 at the Track and Field Sports Complex.

QAF FC coached by former Brunei national player Mohamad Ali Hj Mustafa was a goal down as early as the 10th minute.

Indera FC's Md Zulfadli Pg Hj Tajudin produced a spectacular low-drive shot to beat QAF FC goalie, Mohd Sahan Mumtazali.

The match last night, considered being a balanced 50-50 war, as no import players - Cameroonian QAF FC goal-scoring machine Vivan Francis Bayong and Japanese import Ito Dan - were listed in the QAF FC line-up.

A few minutes after the goal, QAF FC's Adie Arsham Muhd Salleh brilliantly beat Indera's goalkeeper Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin in a one-and-one situation but linesman denied QAF FC the equaliser due to Adie being position.

Adie once again came close to put his name on the scoresheet but the inform Indera goalkeeper denied him for the second encounter after producing a clean save.

QAF FC team-captain Md Mardi Mirza Bujang Abdullah who is the twin brother of Hardi Bujang who currently played for Brunei DPMM FC, almost levelled the score but Indera's goalpost denied Md Mardi's header after the ball hit the crossbar.

After the breather, QAF FC coach Mohamad Ali changed his game plan to a more attacking format.

Mohamad Ali brought in the much-experienced former Brunei national player teammate Riwandi Wahit for Md Hardyman Abdul Lamit.

The much-needed goal came in the 59th minute for QAF FC as Number 8 Md Hendra Azam Mohd Idris easily tapped the ball past Indera's goalie to make the scoreline 1-I.

Ten minutes later, Adie's efforts this time bore fruit as he managed to sneak out from several Indera's defenders to head the ball in from aAk Md Kamarul Ariffin Pg Ramlee's corner-kick to give his team a 2-1 lead.

With I5 minutes into the final whistle, the game gathered pace as each side is looking for every chance to score a goal.

However, it was QAF FC who got into the limelight as the referee pointed to the spot after HamizanAziz Sulaiman was brought down inside Indera's penalty box.

Md Mardi easily converted the penalty in the 89th minute to seal a 3-1 win for QAF FC.

With the win last night, QAF FC is still on top of the league.

Meanwhile, Reduan Petara (34'h minutes), Md Nazlee Jaafar (73rd and 82nd minutes) and Md Najib Tarif (fire minutes) scored for AM Gunners 4-0 victory over Brunei Shell FT last night.
