NO BREAKS FOR INDERA FC DURING RAMADHAN

By  AK FAUZI PG SALLEH IT IS business as usual for Indera FC during this holy month of Ramadhan as they are continue training as usual. With the Brunei FA Cup tournament undergoing a two-month break for Ramadhan and the following Hari Raya festivities, football training across the country seems to have come to an abrupt halt but this is not the case for Indera FC. "We will still be training as usual during Ramadhan. There will be no break. We will still train three times a week, but we will do it at night after the Tarawikh prayer," said Indera FC Manager Rosdin Hj Abd Aziz, adding that some of the players are also undergoing training for the AFF Suzuki Cup Qualifiers. The country's most important competition in years, the Oct 5-13 qualifiers will see five teams Brunei, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Timor Leste compete for two spots in the Nov 24-Dec 22 tournament proper which will be co-hosted by Malaysia and Thailand. BRUNEI DST FA CUP 2012 (BRUNEI NEWS)

Indera Sports Club beat Darussalam Soccer Player United last night to move to the next round of the Brunei DST FA Cup 2012. The match was held at the Berakas Sports Complex's field. Wearing the white jersey, DSP United took the lead in the 32nd minute through Azmil Maidin. Fine goalkeeping and good defending prevented Indera SC from equalising.  Five minutes into the second half, Indera SC finally equalised when Reduan Haji Petara headed home a spot kick. Both teams then launched counter-attacks, but Indera SC was rewarded with the second goal in the 82nd minute. A powerful shot from Mohd Khairul Anwar Rahim hit a DSP United defender and the goalkeeper failed to clear the deflection. The final score Indera SC - 2 and DSP United - 1.
