INDERA SC RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

Indera SC returned to winning ways in the DST Super League after they edged Lun Bawang 2-1 at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.

The Temburong outfit took the lead through Christopher Ambun in the eighth minute but the lead was cancelled out by Naziruddin bin Haji Ismail in the 28th minute.

Mohd Aminuddin Zakwan bin Mohamed Tahir repeated similar heroics against MS PDB in their last game after he found the winner in the 77th minute.

Elsewhere at the Berakas Sports Complex, Najip Bakes chalked their first win of the season after they defeated Setia Perdana 2-1.

Najip took the lead through a goal by Mohd Faisal Ahad in the 22nd minute but Setia equalised six minutes later through Muhd Rusydi Said Abdullah.

But the basement dwellers were not to be denied as Abang Hazim Abang Hadzman netted the winner on the stroke of half-time.

With the win, Najip moved above Setia Perdana in ninth place.
