Indera SC stayed in touch with the league leaders MS ABDB after cruising to a routine 3-0 win over Kota Ranger in the DST Super League at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

Hazwan Hamzah gave Indera the lead in the second minute while Naziruddin bin Haji Ismail bagged a brace in either side of the half.

The match last month was called off after 61 minutes when Indera captain Shahrin Hj Momin was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving the team with just eight players. The referee stopped the game and told both teams the match could not continue if one side has only eight players in the team – which is against FIFA’s ‘Laws of the Game 2015/2016’. In the rule book, Law 3 states that “A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than eleven players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. INDERA FIRST TEAM THROUGH TO DST FA CUP FINAL

Indera SC will make an appearance in the final of the DST FA Cup since 2015 after edging Kasuka FC 1-0 in the last four at the Berakas Sports Complex recently. Indera’s winger Aminuddin Zakwan Tahir’s solitary strike in the eighth minute was enough to send the two-time cup finalists through. Aminuddin joined the Super League giants after ending his spell at DPMM FC and the club have also been bolstered by the return of Hazwan Hamzah. Indera SC manager Rosdin Abdul Aziz expressed gratitude after sealing their place in the final. “We are grateful after ISC succeeded in becoming the first team to progress to the final. Even though on paper the route looks quite easy, the truth is it is not,” said Rosdin in an interview with the media. “As with the format of the DST FA Cup which is knockout, Indera treat all matches whom it has gone through as a cup final, so it is certainly not an easy route,” he added. DST SUPER LEAGUE 2013 TITLE FOR INDERA SC

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (12 March 2013) – Indera SC won the Brunei DST Super League 2013 title when they beat Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) 1-0 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas. Needing to win the game to secure Indera’s first major silverware in 30 years, midfielder Azwan Ali Rahman scored the only goal in the game in the 82nd minutes for the well-deserved victory. With the three points, Indera finished the season on the same 22 points with MS ABDB but the former won the crown on better goal difference. “I am very happy. I don’t know how to describe it but this is the first trophy for Indera in 30 years,” said Omar Md Jamil, the head coach of Indera SC. “It was a balanced game. Both teams were very cautious and both teams were looking for the opportunity to counter attack. We put five midfielders to match them (MS ABDB). They have a very good stamina in the game.”
