AK MOHD Naqib Pg Timbang scored a hat-trick for Indera SC in a nine-goal thriller against Arbisyam FC yesterday to set up a final date with Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) in the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Redbull Futsal Championship 2012.

Played at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas last night, Indera SC were twice behind and were rescued by Ak Mohd Naqib who scored in the second, 19th and 21st minutes to give his team a 6-3 win over Arbiyam FC.

"Arbisyam FC scored their first goal within a minute of play and we were a bit disorganised. It was a very fast goal. It happened so fast and our players were a bit down because of the goal," said Indera SC manager Aminuddin Nasuha.

"I am very pleased with their performance today. They did everything that we instructed them to do during the training and they put up a very good game. All players contributed very well in the game and I hope that they will continue the good form in the final.

"We would prefer to face Kota Junior FC in the game. MS ABDB is a strong team and they have their own futsal pitch where they can train. We still do not know when is the final because the organiser have not decided yet. The problem with training is that we do not have our own futsal pitch to train," added the manager.

Muhammad Rifdi Meludin scored in the first minute to give Arbisyam FC the lead early on, before Ak Mohd Naqib squared things up a minute later.

Abdul Mansyor Jalilah Hj Ishak restored the lead for Arbisyam FC in the 10th minute, but Indera rallied on and a goal from Ak Mohd Naqib in the 19th minute put them on level at 2-2.

Ak Mohd Naqib stormed forward from the left and lashed a shot into the bottom corner to score his third after the Arbisyam FC goalkeeper made a terrific one-handed save to beat out an acrobatic effort from Mohd Norazizam Roslan a minute into the second half.

Arbisyam FC offered little in attack in the second half, focusing on not conceding goal but struggled to contain the Indera SC players as they seemed to have tired themselves.

Ak Mohd Naqib became increasingly influential and created the fourth goal for Junaidi Jumat with a defence-splitting pass in the 34th minute. Mohd Norazizan and Muhd Ulfi Aminuddin added two goals in the 36th and 39th minute respectively to seal the victory for Indera SC.

The other semi-final match saw MS ABDB defeated Kota Junior FC with the scoreline of 2-1. Late goals by Arima Marali and Khairul Effende in the 37th and 38th minutes ensured MS ABDB the final berth in the tournament.

The date for the final game is yet to be announced.

Organised for the first time by NFABD, the tournament serve as a platform to determine which team will represent the country in the Redbull Tri-Nations Cup this December.
