INDERA SC EYEING FINAL SPOT OF REDBULL TOURNEY FUTSAL
BY AK FAUZI PG SALLEH
INDERA SC manager Aminuddin Nasuha has demanded complete concentration from his players when they take on Arbisyam FC in the semi-finals of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Redbull Futsal Championship 2012 at 8pm tonight at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
With the club recent good form in the tournament, Aminuddin has urged his players to maintain focus to ensure a final berth of the NFABD Redbull Futsal Championship 2012.
He told The Brunei Times last night: "They have to play their normal game, give 100 per cent commitment and stay focused if they are going to win the game. We could not afford to make mistakes in this stage of the game.
"The last four teams in the semis, Indera SC, Arbisyam FC, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) and Kota Junior, all have equal chances to go to the final. Those who make few or no mistakes will win and I hope my players will play their normal game and insyaallah we can make it if they stay focused."
Asked about the preparation ahead of tonight's game, the manager replied: "Unlike team like MS ABDB who have place to train, we don't have place to have proper training. It's all up to the individual player to keep their stamina by doing light exercise on their own. Brunei needs more futsal pitch in order to see this game develop further."
The last time these two sides met was in May at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas. It ended with a 1-1 draw.
"We are in the same group in preliminary round and were held to a 1-1 draw. It was our first game of the campaign and we hope to win this time around," added the manager.
Meanwhile, Arbisyam FC manager, Mohd Syarafuddin Hamdi Hj Talip was in a buoyant mood ahead of the clash tonight.
"I am satisfied with us reaching the semi-finals, because our target at the beginning was only entering the second round. Reaching the semi-final is a bonus. But this club always holds the motto of giving our best to win the game," he said.
"Indera is the better team than us and they have experiences competing at the top level. We will play our normal game and look at their weaknesses and start attacking to win the game," he added.
The other semi-final match will pit MS ABDB and Kota Juniors at 9pm at the same venue.
